RULES TO THE “BUYERS SWEEPSTAKE”

ARTICLE 1 – ORGANIZING ENTITY

(Hereafter « GIP »)
The GIP will be organizing, from 10 February 2020 at 10:00 AM through 15 February 2020 at 12:00 PM, a sweepstake called “BUYERS SWEEPSTAKE” (hereafter called the “Sweepstake”) according to the rules described in this document.
ARTICLE 2 – PARTICIPATION
This Sweepstake is open to all individual above the age of thirteen (subject to complying to the provisions mentioned below), residing in France or abroad, having free access to internet or having taken-out a subscription to Internet and having purchased a « 3-DAY PASS » or a « SUNDAY PASS » to the FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DE FRANCE 2020 betweenJune 21, 2019 and February, 10 2020 at 10AM, to the exception of GIP staff who would have participated directly or indirectly to the setting up, promotion and/or implementation.
The prizes will be awarded randomly. See article 5 – PRIZES
Any participation of an individual under the age of 18 requires prior written consent from an adult with appropriate parental authority. Proof of consent will need to be produced if requested by the GIP.
In order to participate, purchasers of “SUNDAY PASSES” or “3-DAY PASSES” are required to validate their participation by filling out the form sent to them via email during the Sweepstake period (i.e. between February, 10 2020 and February, 15 2020).
After having duly respected the terms of participation, participants will have automatically subscribed to the lottery that will designate the winner of each prize.
The draw will be under the responsibility and supervision of a provider chosen by the GIP.
Only one participation per person will be accepted (same first and last name, same home and/or email address).
Participation implies full acceptance of these terms and rules by the participants in the Sweepstake.
ARTICLE 3 – PRINCIPLES – HOW TO PARTICIPATE
To participate in the Sweepstake participants must, (i) have purchased SUNDAY PASSES” or “3-DAY PASSES” for the 2020 Formula 1 French Grand Prix between June 21, 2019 and February 10, 2020 and (ii) starting on February 10, 2020 (open for the duration of the Sweepstake):
- have acknowledged these terms and rules;
- fill out the form sent via email;
- and tick the box confirming their wish to participate in the lucky draw.
Any abuse due to the use of computer programs destined to participate in the Sweepstake more than once will lead to the exclusion of the participant from the Sweepstake.
After having duly complied with the aforementioned terms, the participant will be automatically enrolled for the draw to designate the winner of each prize.
ARTICLE 4 – DESIGNATION OF THE PRIZE WINNERS
Within two (2) business days of the ending of the Sweepstake period, a provider designated by the GIP will operate the draw (based on a computerized listing) and designate the winner of each prize at stake among all participants who have complied with the aforementioned terms.
The draw will designate the winner of each prize at stake, provided that this participant meets all the conditions set out in these terms and rules.
The winner will be informed by email as soon as possible. The winner will then have 14 days to accept his/her prize by replying to the email sent to him/her by the GIP. No reply or late reply will lead to the re-awarding of the prize to another winner, designated through the same process.
ARTICLE 5 – PRIZES
Each prize will be awarded to the participant designated by the draw.
The prizes are:
- 1 “Hot laps” access on Sunday 28 June 2020 chosen amongst all holders of a “SUNDAY PASS” or “3-DAY PASS” purchased to the FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DE FRANCE 2020 between June 21, 2019 and February 10, 2020 ;
- 2 “Grid access” on Sunday 28 June 2020 chosen amongst all holders of a “SUNDAY PASS” or “3-DAY PASS” purchased to the FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DE FRANCE 2020 between June 21, 2019 and February 10, 2020 ;
- 10 Caps signed by Charles Leclerc chosen amongst all holders of a « SUNDAY PASS » or a « 3 DAY PASS » purchased to the FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DE FRANCE 2020 between June 21, 2019 and February 10, 2020;
The prizes mentioned above cannot be returned or exchanged or sold to another party for financial compensation.
If the winner cannot or won’t accept his/her prize, no compensation financial or otherwise can be granted by the GIP. The prize would be distributed to another participant based on the same aforementioned methodology.
The GIP reserves the right to change, given the circumstances, the number or nature of the prizes to prizes similar in value or kind.
The GIP reserves the right (in cases of Force Majeure or events beyond its control – list non-comprehensive) to replace the presented prizes with prizes similar in kind or value.
ARTICLE 6 – REIMBURSMENT OF PARTICIPATION FEES
If the participant participates in the Sweepstake using an internet access via a Modem or a phone line charged in proportion to the time spent online and only in this specific case can he or she receive financial compensation based on a total connection time of 5 minutes.
In order to do so, the participant is required to:
- Reside in France or abroad ;
- Provide the Phone provider’s bill, specifying the date and time of connection to the website.
It is understood that any access to the site using an internet access paid for on a flat-rate basis (included but not limited to Cable, ADSL…) will be subject to reimbursement based on the same conditions and a maximum 5-minute connection time per session.
Participants who have subscribed to an unlimited internet access will not be subject to a reimbursement since their plan is subscribed to with an internet provider independently from their participation in the Sweepstake and that no additional costs were incurred.
Any request for the reimbursement of internet fees must be made no later than 30 calendar days after subscription, date as per postmark.
The name of the person requesting the reimbursement must be the same as the name that appears on the telephone bill.
Reimbursement requests need to be sent to the organizing Entity mentioned at the beginning of these Terms and Conditions.
The postage costs at the current regular rate will be reimbursed if explicitly and simultaneously requested by the participant.
Any request that is incomplete, illegible, sent to the wrong address or received later than 30 calendar days at midnight (Paris Time) following the subscription will be considered void and the participant will not be reimbursed of any internet-born costs
ARTICLE 7 -CHANGES TO THE SWEEPSTAKE AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
The GIP reserves the right to change, postpone, interrupt or cancel the Sweepstake as well as the prizes awarded. The GIP liability cannot be questioned if such events were to take place. If need be, the GIP reserves the right to replace prizes with other prizes similar in kind and value.
The GIP reminds participants of the characteristics and limitations of an internet connection and declines all responsibility relating to the quality of the participants’ internet access. It specifically declines all responsibility regarding the access to internet of all internet providers.
Furthermore, the GIP cannot be deemed responsible for any loss of mail or any mistakes made during the delivery of the mail or delivery of an email.
More specifically, the GIP cannot be held responsible for any material or immaterial damage incurred by participants, their computer equipment and the data stored in that equipment and to the consequences on their personal, professional or commercial activities.
ARTICLE 8 – RULES
The present rules are accessible on the Grand Prix de France de Formule 1 website: gpfrance.stagewp.webedia.io

ARTICLE 9 – LOI INFORMATIQUE ET LIBERTÉS / DATA PROTECTION ACT
Data collected by the GIP as part of the Sweepstake will be processed by the GIP. The purpose of the data collected is to (i) participate in the Sweepstake, (ii) organize and manage the draw and(iii) carry out marketing actions.
The GIP is responsible for processing the data and the recipients of the data collected are the persons in charge of the marketing department, the sales department or the departments in charge of customer care.
In accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act(Loi informatique et Libertés) of 6 January 1978 as amended, the recipients of the form are informed that they have a right of access, rectify, delete and a right of oppose for legitimate reasons to the processing of their personal data. ARTICLE 10 – APPLICABLE LAW – DISPUTES
The present Rules are subject to French Law
To be taken into consideration, any dispute relating to the Sweepstake will need to be addressed in writing to the following address:

At the latest fifteen (15) calendar days after the Sweepstake’s end date.
In the event that no agreement can be reached between parties relating to the application or interpretation of the present rules, any dispute shall be submitted handled by the appropriate French court of law.
